Dressing stylishly for all that holiday traveling you’ll be doing doesn’t mean you can’t be comfortable. Layer it up with slouchy t-shirts, vintage pullovers, cozy cardigans, and scarves. Leggings and skinny knit trousers make traveling SO much easier (honestly, who wants to curl up and fall asleep in jeans while on a plane?). Bring two pairs of shoes: easy slip-on loafers so you can breeze thru security check, and comfy slippers or fur-lined boots so your feet are warm and happy. A good parka that can double as a blanket or be easily stored in the overhead storage area is also worth bringing aboard.
Most importantly, bring a carry-on bag that can store your layers, scarves, and extra footwear. We suggest the Emilia Tote for that ;)
Inspired by: Sienna Miller’s effortless style & fur coats.
When you’re traveling for the holidays, it’s best to bring a handbag that can fit all your essentials for the road. Here we have the (1) Malia Tote in tahoe weave, (2) the Emilia Tote in sage & molded metals from our Holiday/Resort 2013 collection, (3) the rural luxury Weekender from last season, and (4) the Anna Tote. These can easily fit your issue of Vogue, your fave pair of sunnies, all your electronic pals, beauty essentials, and additional layering pieces in case it gets cold. Happy traveling!
Go boho on your day off and lounge around in style. Brew some tea, grab your copy of “Kate Moss by Mario Testino” photobook, wrap yourself in that fur throw, and put on a classic 90s film. We suggest “Shakespeare in Love” (1998), featuring style icon Gwyneth Paltrow’s Oscar winning performance as William’s muse, Viola.
First off, we have a new layout on our blog! There’s no better way to kick off a new look than with some styling suggestions.
Autumn is pretty much the best season: the leaves start changing, the holidays are around the corner, and it’s the best time of the year to take a leisurely stroll. Dig out your fave knits & over-sized sweaters from the back of your closets, and layer it up! Get in the season and incorporate some fall colors like rust, orange, dusty browns, and mustard. Don’t forget to tug along your handy tote bag so you can carry your gloves, a scarf, and perhaps a lightweight cardigan. We suggest our Beatrice Tote from last season.
For your Pocahontas costume this year, bring out your favorite brown fringe dress or top, pair it with tan booties (Sam Edelman has AMAZING options) and layer on the jewelry - especially if it’s fringey or woven. Grab your fave fringe, tan bag (like the Isabella Fiore Bella Barrel in koala or the Nella Crossbodybag in Artisenal Deco from our Holiday ‘13 Collection) and find your John Smith for the night!
Go hobo chic on Halloween and dress up as Mary-Kate Olsen circa-2008, when she was in her oversized plaid & sunglasses phase. Don’t forget your cup of coffee!
Kate Hudson was perfect as the hippie, boho & free-spirited band muse in “Almost Famous.” Create your own Penny Lane ensemble by getting yourself a pair of bell-bottom jeans, round sunnies, colorful printed booties, a cropped peasant blouse, some hippie jewelry, and top it all off with a fur lined overcoat.
